





The SM Mall of Asia is the largest shopping mall in the Philippines and the 7th largest shopping mall in the world. The Mall of Asia is located west of Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, aptly nicknamed "Bay City". The mall is located at the southmost tip of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue. A roundabout was constructed in the front of the mall with a huge bronze globe similar to Universal Studios. One of the mall’s main attractions is the first ever IMAX theater in the country, along with a Director's Club Theater for intimate screenings (30 La-Z-Boy seats), a Premiere Cinema, and the CenterStage Cinema which can used for live musical concerts and theatrical performances. The mall features the Philippines's first Olympic-sized ice skating rink. At 61 by 30 meters, the rink is described as the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia.
The Global City is home to upscale residential condominiums such as Essensa, Pacific Plaza and Regent Parkway. It’s located at Taguig City, Many restaurants, bars, clubs, and retail outlets have opened in The Fort Square and Fort Strip, and MTV Philippines has its headquarters there. Meanwhile, Bonifacio Stop-over and the Car Plaza cater to motorists. The Global City is anchored by a major shopping center, Ayala Land's Market! Rizal Park exhibits the National Monument to Dr. Jose Rizal and is situated in the heart of the city of Manila, Philippines. It is at the northern end of Roxas Boulevard, overlooking Manila Bay. It was called Bagumbayan (English: New Town) in Spanish colonial era, and later known as Luneta. The park was the site of Jose Rizal's execution on December 30, 1896, whose martyred death made him a hero of the Philippine Revolution. It was officially renamed Rizal Park in tribute to him.
Ermita was founded in the late 16th century. The name was taken from the Spanish word for "hermitage", after the fact that on this site was built a hermitage housing an image of the Virgin Mary known as the Nuestra Señora de Guia (Our Lady of Guidance). The hermitage has since evolved into Ermita Church, which has been rebuilt several times since the early 17th century. the church of Ermita which was founded in 1591 as a small chapel has Nuestra Señora de Guia as its patroness. The saint which was dredged up in a fisherman's net about 400 years ago was installed as the patron saint of Ermita by the Spaniards. Several government institutions are housed in Ermita, including the Philippine Supreme Court, the City Hall of Manila, the Philippine Postal Office building, and other offices found along the old government circle designed during the American era by architect and urban planner Daniel Burnham, such as the Department of Tourism and the National Museum of the Filipino People. Ermiteño was a Spanish-creole that was spoken in Ermita. It is believed to be extinct today. Rizal Park, the widest open urban public park in the country and location of the monument to the national hero Jose Rizal, is a prominent feature of Ermita. Other sites of interest in Ermita include the United States Embassy, the Quirino Grandstand and the Philippine General Hospital.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is the central bank of the Republic of the Philippines. Located along the border between Pasay City and Parañaque City, it is about 7 kilometers south of the country's capital Manila, and southwest of Makati City's Central Business District and managed by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), a branch of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC).
In 2006, the airport handled an estimated 17,700,000 passengers. This was an 8.9% growth in passenger numbers from 2005 and placing the airport 72nd worldwide in terms of passenger traffic.
