G Hotel Manila by Waterfront recently hosted an Autumn-inspired luncheon party for the Ambassador Corps to formally introduce the first boutique hotel concept in the Philippines. With Real Autumn Trees, overlooking the blue waters of the Manila Bay in one cloudy noon, the guests all enjoyed the autumn repertoire of Philippine Opera Company while being satiated with an autumn Menu carefully designed by Chef Mar Tesalona.
"Our goal was to create a luncheon that encouraged conversation and partnering opportunities while WOWing the crowd with a feeling of excitement," said Yuri Mangondaya, Hotel Manager of G Hotel Manila by Waterfront. "We created the Autumn Lunch Party as a part of the signature events for G Hotel Manila, because the boutique hotel’s Promenade (Ball room) was designed to simulate different moods for different occasions highlighted by real interior thematic set-up overlooking the waters as well as the dramatic setting of the Baywalk . It was simply an ideal setting for the any thematic personalized parties. “
G Hotel Manila by Waterfront opened in November 2006 with a unique and unconventional black and white lobby was designed to introduce another hotel concept in the country. The result is overwhelming, having gathered a remarkable acceptance and repeat client bookings for G.
Staged at the hotel’s Promenade at the seventh floor ballroom, the lunch started as the doors of the ballroom swung open, revealing Two rich Mapple trees leading to A couple of more autumn maple trees that has slowly lost the richness of leaves. As guests moved into the ballroom, a ray of light embraced a mini autumn-opera stage then a couple of more steps came a grabbing variety of colors and textures came into view. Glass containers each featuring autumn flowers with autumn fruits and nuts dramatically sits on each of the tables. Elegant gold tiffany chairs with earth-tone satin seats surrounded the tables donned in rustic orange shantung and mocha table napkins. All these complemented the Autumn drama of the lunch party.
"According to guests, the highlight of the lunch came over dessert and coffee, when he Opera singers entered the ballroom and rendered the different emotions of autumn through their repertoire. “This will be just one of the personalized thematic parties that you can expect from G,” says Yuri Mangondaya.
